ForHims sell a bunch of male medicinal products, though they’re mainly focused around erectile dysfunction pills and hair loss creams. In this Hims ED review, I’ll be taking a look at the Hims Cialis and Viagra pills, letting you know about my experience with the company’s erection pills.
Let’s get into it!
Just as a heads up, I wasn’t super impressed with this company and I’d recommend somewhere like BlueChew if you’d like to buy the little blue pill for men online.
ForHims (often shortened to “Hims”) is a telemedicine website specializing in medications for men. Most of these medications revolve around things that men are traditionally embarrassed about going to a doctor for – there are treatments for erectile dysfunction, hair loss, skincare, and performance anxiety.
In this context, “performance anxiety” refers to guys who struggle to perform sexually.
Like other competitors, ForHims’ ED meds business model is simple. You sign up, you fill out a health questionnaire, and then a doctor in the US reads over your questions and checks that you’re okay to be prescribed ED medication. If you are, you will be sent the Hims ED pills in a discreet package straight to your door.
As with all telemedicine companies, ForHims is bound to telehealth laws in individual states. If you live in one of the states with restrictions, you might not be able to use them.
Heavily restricted states include Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina, North Dakota, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, and Texas.
Laws can change quickly, so try to remain abreast of the telemedicine laws in your state.
Like most “ED meds online” companies, you can buy both sildenafil (Viagra) and tadalafil (Cialis) from Hims. Sildenafil is the generic non-branded version of Viagra, and Tadalafil is the generic non-branded version of Cialis. The pills do exactly the same thing as Viagra and Cialis, but they’re significantly cheaper.
Hims also sell some other sex-related products, including “delay spray” to help with premature ejaculation and treatments for sex-related illnesses such as genital herpes. The branding is fairly simple, though they use emojis in many of their product descriptions, which feels a little tacky.
I won’t sugarcoat it – I had a lot of problems with Hims when I tried their product. Overall, I would say that the customer service is crap and the Hims Viagra was overpriced. The generic sildenafil was cheaper, but not amazing quality.
If you’re looking for cheap and reliable ED meds online, BlueChew would be my first suggestion. Nonetheless, I’ll dive into my experience with ForHims to give you an idea of what I’m talking about.
I checked the Capital One app and everything was fine with my card. I even bought some stuff I needed from Amazon using the credit card and it worked just fine, so there was obviously some problem with their payment system. A couple of days later, after some frustrating calls to customer service, I was able to get the credit card accepted as payment.
If there’s one thing that really annoys me, it’s companies who make paying for stuff a pain in the ass.
When it comes to the Hims Viagra generic, $3 per pill is fairly typical. The price is similar to that of their competitors, though the pills themselves are a bit large for my preference. Nonetheless, they’re a ton cheaper than regular branded Viagra.
Hims generic Cialis (tadalafil) is a different story, however. If you’re the kind of guy who likes to take a daily Cialis so you’re always prepared for the potential of sex, then you’re shit out of luck. At $240 a month for the generic version, Hims ED is much more expensive than competitors like BlueChew, who offer a “28 pills per month” inexpensive Tadalafil package for $90.
Why are boner pills so god damn expensive?
While you might miss a couple of days out of the month with brands like BlueChew, you’re saving a significant amount of money. Also, Hims ED sells tadalafil at 5mg strength, while BlueChew sells it at 6mg strength. So basically, with Hims ED you’re paying more money for a weaker product. Not amazing.
If you want generic Viagra online for sale, then ForHims will be just as good as any other online erectile dysfunction pharmacy, assuming your credit card is accepted. If you’re looking for generic Cialis (tadalafil) though, there are definitely cheaper and more reliable companies like BlueChew which you can try.
So, the golden question – does Hims work? Well, it kind of did, but I’d be lying if I said that the results weren’t disappointing. I personally tried the Hims generic sildenafil Viagra alternative, and while the price was decent, my results were lackluster at best.
First of all, I’m not a big fan of swallowing pills, and something about the size and texture of these pills just made them incredibly difficult to swallow for me. If I didn’t get them down quickly enough, they’d start to dissolve in my mouth and taste horrible.
Me being bad at pill-swallowing isn’t Hims’ fault, but I’ve definitely found other ED meds easier to swallow.
To be honest, the quality of the pills just seemed a little off to me, even aesthetically. Many of them were powdery or half-broken before I swallowed them. That probably didn’t do much to affect their performance, but it just didn’t give me the luxury feeling I was hoping for in a sophisticated erectile dysfunction pills product.
I’m balding, so I actually ordered my ED meds with some of the Hims blading treatment solutions too. However, be careful if you do this, as they send it in a less-discreet package. As far as I’m aware, all orders of Hims Viagra and Cialis come in totally discreet packaging, but if you order their haircare products, the box has a large “Hims” logo on the side of it.
I know you have to advertise your brand, but come on!
Now, this isn’t a huge problem. No one is going to look at the word “Hims” and think “well obviously that box is full of boner pills” instantly. Still, I’d prefer that they do away with branding their boxes at all because lots of men don’t want to advertise their baldness or impotence to the rest of the world.
Now that I think about it, some of your neighbors may have heard of Hims due to their advertising or online presence. Even if you were just ordering some baldness cream for yourself, they might think that you’re ordering erection pills. It’s all a little careless of Hims and I wish they’d do away with non-discreet packaging entirely.
I haven’t even talked about the shipping yet! Sadly, I also encountered problems with the shipping of these products. I only did 2 months of orders (so 2 orders basically) but both of them were delayed and didn’t ship to me on time, ruining a couple of romantic evenings I had lined up with my wife.
This slow shipping could be down to the courier or the sensitive nature of the products being moved across state lines, but at the end of the day this is something that ForHims should be dealing with on their end.
My first delivery was 3 days later than expected, and my delivery after that was 5 days later than expected. If there was some sort of obvious problem to blame then I’d feel more lenient, but I didn’t even get a standard apology email or phone call.
I ended up having to call customer service a bunch of times to try and track my deliveries – no one called me first to apologize for the delay. I was outraged. I already wasn’t massively keen on Hims ED meds already, but that put the final nail in the coffin for me.
All in all, I wouldn’t recommend Hims ED products. If you’re looking for decent-priced sildenafil tablets then it’s okay, but if you’re looking to get daily Cialis generics or you just want better customer service in general, stick with a company like BlueChew instead.
