It’s the Holy Grail of male sexual enhancement: a safe, reliable way to make your penis bigger.
Who wouldn’t want that? As it turns out, millions of men are interested in learning how to get a bigger penis, which inevitably leads to scams that prey on their deepest insecurities.
But does that mean these men can’t increase the size of their penis? As it turns out, it may be possible to increase penis size — but only if you do it the right way.
The idea can seem intoxicating: if you have a bigger dick, you’ll have the world in the palm of your hand. Women will fall over themselves to be with you, while other men fear and respect you.
But is that really the case? Would having a bigger penis really make you happier?
The answer is…maybe. It seems that the actual size of your manhood isn’t that important; it’s how you feel about it that matters.
Here’s the rub, though: men with bigger dicks feel better about them — and, by extension, themselves — than men with small- or average-sized members.
Not really; according to one study, the size most often reported as “ideal” by women was 6.1 inches, or a tiny bit bigger than average. What size did men want?
That’s a big hog — probably too big for most women, in fact.
While most women aren’t craving a massive package, they do enjoy the confidence that seems to come with it. So, you’re likely better off building up your self-esteem than your member if you want to please a woman.
Of course, for some men, that’s not possible — and that’s where penis enlargement comes in.
There’s more than one way to skin a cat — or, in this case, enlarge a penis. Broadly speaking, we can divide penis enlargement strategies into four categories:
As a general rule, permanent fixes require a lot of time, effort, and money. The less-permanent is much easier to do, but of course, the effects aren’t lasting.
Now that that’s out of the way, let’s take a closer look at each of these categories.
There are three things you can do that can permanently make your penis bigger — but be forewarned, they all have their downsides.
There is currently only one FDA-approved penis enlargement surgery, and it’s called Penuma. This is actually a penile implant that’s inserted into your shaft, making it both longer and thicker. It’s like a boob job for your dick.
The implants come in three sizes: large, extra-large, and extra-extra-large. We can only assume the XXL is the most popular.
Once inserted, the implant will give you an increase of about 1.5 to 2.5 inches in both length and girth. These gains will be present even when your penis is flaccid.
While that sounds amazing, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. There are only two doctors in the U.S. who are approved to perform penis enlargement surgery, and it will cost you about $15,000 — and no, your insurance won’t cover any of it.
Also, your penis will be very tender for a few weeks afterward. You’re not allowed to have sex or masturbate for six weeks following the procedure, so you’ll have to wait to show off your new equipment.
Also, you have to be circumcised; if you’re not cut, that makes two penis surgeries you’ll need. Some men report their penis is deformed after the surgery as well.
Jelqing is a technique in which you pull on your semi-erect penis, causing micro-tears in the tissue. When your body tries to repair this damage, it will add even more mass to protect against future injury — and that extra tissue makes your penis look longer and thicker.
It sounds painful, and it can be if you do it incorrectly. It’s a great way to permanently injure your penis.
However, believers in the technique say it can add several inches to your penis length.
That’s all the evidence you’re likely to find that it works, though. There have been several studies performed on this, and they’ve all been relatively inconclusive. You’re going to have to take the word of people on the internet that jelqing is effective.
Also, be aware that this process takes months. It’s like going to the gym, and you’ll have to spend hours and hours to see results — if you notice any at all.
Penis stretching works on the same principle as jelqing — you cause micro-tears in the penis, and the body will rebuild it bigger and more durable.
However, instead of pulling on it with your hand, you use a traction device to provide constant, steady pressure. Some of these contraptions are quite complicated, too.
There’s some evidence that this method works — but the subjects had to wear the devices for 9+ hours a day for more than four months to see results.
All in all, it requires an incredible amount of dedication and has no guarantee of actually being successful.
There are quite a few ways to make your penis more prominent for a short period of time; usually, this is a few hours or so.
The good news is that it should be all the time you need to use your newly-enlarged penis. However, you’ll need to use one every time, as the effects won’t linger.
A penis pump consists of a plastic tube that you put over your member, creating a vacuum that extends to the base of the penis. Then, you use a pump attached to the other end to draw blood into the shaft.
This doesn’t necessarily grow your penis; rather it makes it as big as it can possibly be. Your penis will be at its maximum length and girth for as long as the erection lasts.
Not only will this help you get the most out of your size, but it can also help with erectile dysfunction.
A penis pump is a cheap, easy to use, and effective way to increase penis size. You can also combine them with other methods to improve their effectiveness.
The downside is that it’s awkward to excuse yourself before sex to pump up your dick. You have to do it right before, too, or else you can lose the effects.
Pills are a lot like pumps, in that they don’t actually make you bigger — they just make you as big as possible.
There are plenty of pills out there, and not all of them work. However, if you get a good one, it’s one of the best ways to get as big and hard as possible.
One of the only proven medications is Sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra. The great thing about Sildenafil is that it will make your dick incredibly hard, which is more important than being huge anyway (seriously, look up stories about hung guys who end up pushing rope).
The only problem is that you need a prescription to buy it. That’s less of an issue now, thanks to services that allow you to consult a doctor online, but it’s still a hoop you’ll have to jump through.
While pills can be a gamechanger for your sex life, you should talk to your doctor before taking them. They can sometimes interfere with other medications, so it’s better to be safe than sorry.
These tips won’t make your penis bigger at all, but they will make it look bigger.
That’s important if you’re just trying to impress your partner when your clothes come off, but it won’t affect their enjoyment of the sex in any way.
There’s a fat pad on your lower abdomen that protects the joint where the pubic bones meet. If you’re overweight, that pad can grow, causing it to hang down and obscure your penis.
The general rule of thumb is that for every 30-50 pounds a man is overweight, he’ll lose an inch of penis length.
Now, obviously this size isn’t truly “lost” — it’s just buried under all that fat. To get it back, you have to lose the weight.
Unfortunately, there’s no way to “spot reduce” the fat on your pubic bone, so you’re going to have to get thinner all over. That means following a healthy diet and getting plenty of exercise.
You can also have liposuction if you’re in a hurry, but that carries with it a variety of health risks. Plus, you lose out on all the other benefits of the weight loss, like looking better and having harder erections.
Again, though, losing the weight won’t make your member any bigger. It will just reveal it in all of its glorious potential.
We know, we know — you’re very proud of the jungle you’re growing around your penis. Problem is, that jungle is threatening to swallow your johnson whole.
If you let your pubes get out of control, they can obscure your penis, making it look shorter and stubbier. By trimming them down to a more manageable level, you reveal every inch of your dick.
Also, most women prefer a person who does a little manscaping. It’s especially crucial if you ever expect to get another blowjob again.
Now that we’ve examined the methods that can actually work, let’s look at the ones that are absolutely worthless.
There are a variety of creams out there that claim to permanently increase the size of your penis.
Many of them use herbal ingredients that allegedly boost your libido. The way they supposedly work is your body absorbs the herbs through the skin, prompting your penis to grow.
Yeah, it doesn’t make much sense to us, either.
There’s absolutely no evidence that they work, nor is there really any reason to think that they should work. You also run the risk of irritating the shaft’s sensitive skin, or being alergic to one of the ingredients.
Some of these creams double as lubricants, so they’re not totally worthless. Still, you’re better off saving your money and spending it on something that may actually prove useful.
As we mentioned above, some pills are worth every penny. Others, though, are a complete waste of money.
A telltale sign that the pills you’re looking at may be a scam is if the manufacturer promises permanent growth. It’s just not possible — not even the pharmaceutical options can do that.
At best, these pills are a complete waste of money. At worst, they could contain ingredients that could actually harm you. Don’t waste a dime on them.
You can always measure it and compare it to the averages (you can find this information online).
However, that information may not be useful in a vacuum. Regardless of how big your penis actually is, your partner may think it’s too big, too small, or just right. You can’t find that information online.
The fact is, you’re probably fine, and you’re better off working on your confidence.
Some do, some don’t. Some women like the feeling of being filled or crave deep penetration, while others see a big penis and cringe.
It’s not something that we can answer, as it varies from woman to woman. However, what we can tell you is that studies have shown women don’t necessarily want to see a giant anaconda when they pull down your pants.
Absolutely. There are actually two psychological conditions, penile dysmorphophobia and penis anxiety, that involve concern over the size of your penis.
These conditions are marked by an irrational belief that your penis is smaller than average, and that every other man is packing more than you are. If you suspect you may suffer from either condition, see a doctor.
If you’re genuinely unsatisfied with the size of your penis, there are things you can do to help the situation.
However, we would encourage you to worry less about your penis size and focus more on pleasing your partner. That means spending time learning new tricks, making sure you’re as hard as possible, and going overboard on the foreplay.
At the end of the day, you’re probably thinking about your penis more than anyone else is. If you learn to use what you’ve got, though, you can make it so that your partner can’t think about anything other than your penis.
